शार्लट आणि आसपासच्या परिसरातील मराठी भाषिक मंडळींना मातृभाषेतील एक व्यासपीठ मिळावं, त्यांच्या कलागुणांना वाव मिळावा, मराठी संस्कृतीचे संवर्धन व्हावे कार्यक्रमांच्या निमित्ताने मराठी मंडळी एकत्र यावीत हा मूळ हेतू.

कार्यक्रमाच्या निमित्ताने सगळी मराठी मंडळी एकत्र येतात, नवीन ओळखी होऊन तुमचा मराठी मित्रपरिवार वाढतो. मंडळातर्फे साजरे केले जाणारे उत्सव पाहून आणि पुढील पिढीलाही आपल्या भाषेची, आपल्या संस्कृतीची ओळख होते. सगळ्यांच्याच कलागुणांना मातृभाषेतील एक व्यासपीठ मिळते. तेव्हा सातासमुद्रापार मराठीचा जयघोष करत निघालेल्या या दिंडीत जरूर सामील व्हा. आपल्या मंडळाच्या फेसबुक पेज ला Like करा.

Charlotte is growing and so does Indian diaspora in the city and nearby towns.
Marathi community makes the city vibrant especially with the Ganapati Festival and many other events which are designed to keep the cultural values alive and at the same time expose young folks and everyone to our sanskriti as well as traditions.

We offer platform for everyone to participate, socialize, build the community feeling and at the same time have fun.

Charlotte Marathi Mandal is committed to keep providing this Marathi platform as well as showcase talent to harmonize community and being one feeling.

Organization History
CMM is a non-profit cultural organization 501(c) based in Charlotte, North Carolina and run by enthusiastic volunteers from Charlotte and surrounding suburbs .Few decades back, Marathi community(an ethnic linguistic group from the current state of Maharashtra, India) used to gather and celebrate there traditions, culture and festivals and therefore the need of an organization was realized. An organization was then established in 1999 to bring together people interested in celebrating the Marathi culture. As years passed by, more and more Maharashtrian families started migrating to Charlotte. A modest 2-3 people organization has grown into an organization of over 200 registered families.
The CMM has since been celebrating our flagship Ganesh festival since 1981 which is attended by over 400 devotes everyday during the festival.

Organization Objectives, Mission
Our objective is to bring Marathi speaking people and communities together, raise awareness about our culture, shared values and carry it to the next generation. We believe that efforts borne by people speaking different Indian languages makes our ethos more vibrant and culture ever lasting. We have been trying to achieve this by organizing various events which are planned to keep our cultural values alive and at the same time exposing our children’s to our rich heritage and traditions. We offer a platform for all to participate in social ,spiritual, musical, educational and other community bonding activities. Our focus is to preserve, enhance ,promoting Marathi language, literature, heritage in the fold of the Hindu spirit.
